But as for you,

the LORD your God

has not allowed you

          to do this.

(As believers,

what distinguishes us

are not arbitrary rules,

but a deep relationship

of loving God and others.

That means making choices

that look very different

   from those around us.)

Love you to the bone.

O LORD,

grant us the wisdom

    to know how to navigate

the situations before us

                      today,

that which we know

    is on our path,

and Your wisdom,

protection,

strength and kindness

  for the ambushes

  along the way.

Help us to choose

   to follow You alone,

when it means saying yes,

when it means saying no,

knowing that our choices

impact everyone around us.

Help me to love You

           through this.

For Your glory.

For Your Kingdom.

In Your holy Name.
