"Where are we to

get enough bread

in such a desolate place

to feed

    so great a crowd?"

And Jesus said to them,

"How many loaves

           do you have?"

           Matthew 15. 34

(No matter the circumstances,

    God does not just add.

            God multiplies.

Whatever we see,

it is not such

       a desolate place

or desperate situation after all.

Just watch what

         God does with it.

What am I bringing to the table

     that He makes

     more than enough?)

O LORD,

We live with such myopic eyes.

We have not seen

     the scope of Your goodness

nor even a glimpse

  of Your grander narrative,

              even in this.

Use us, O LORD,

   use what we have,

   who You have made us,

   where You have brought us,

more than enough

               for Your glory.

We would be astonished,

          if we only knew.

Indeed.

Even in this.
