(Recognizing

and acknowledging the hand,

the appointments,

the Presence of God,

regardless of circumstances.

Look to the chronicle

        of God's faithfulness

through thick and thin,

narrow squeaks,

cliffhangers,

and sheer blessedness.

All that reveals

     "Fear not.  I am with you."

That is not about to change.)

O LORD,

Wherever You have placed us

today,

in the midst of storm,

or in green pastures,

    You are with us,

each one on our paths

that You have appointed

for Your profound purposes,

  the visible

  and what is not yet seen.

Keep our eyes on You

that we would be

   responsive to circumstances,

   not enslaved by them.

Your glory in this, O LORD,

                  above all.
