Good sense makes one
slow to anger,
and it is his glory
to overlook an offense.
Proverbs 19. 11
(What distinguishes us as believers
are matters of the heart
and how we respond
on the most ordinary days,
in the smallest infractions,
huge irritations,
and when things go south.
Our transformed heart
is revealed in difficulty.
Do we react with anger?
Or do we respond with grace?
Practice resurrection.
Others are constantly watching us,
not to see if we are perfect,
but if we really live differently
because we abide in Him.)
O LORD,
Mold our hearts
that we would bring You glory
even in the most unexpected
circumstances.
Align our hearts with Yours
that we would respond
with a love and strength
that are not ours,
especially when everyone
expects something different.
Be glorified in our words and deeds
and even in our responses.
