He opened the rock,

and water gushed out;

it flowed through the desert

              like a river.

(When we come before the LORD,

in our time of need,

      even in abundance,

God provides

            in unexpected ways

            and unlikely places,

not just for us,

   but those all the way downstream.

Be ye not surprised

    at what the Almighty is doing.

God redeems,

                even this.)

O LORD,

You make Yourself known to us

   by making a way

   where we can see no way.

Nurture us by Your strength

                 and Presence

that we would

           bring the name of Jesus here

and acknowledge Your glory.

There is nothing random

                 in our need

           or in Your provision.

Water does not just gush out.

   Help us to give You

            the glory due Your name.
