We set our hope on You,

for You do all these things.

(God is God,

     and we are not.

Hope is not wishful thinking,

but He on whom we

          can stake our lives.

Anxiety is trying to be

            in control

            and in charge.

Trust is knowing

      the God who is.)

O LORD,

We don't know what to do,

but our eyes are on You.

Help us to be faithful

   not just in following You,

            or walking with You,

    but knowing You as our God.

You never promised us

     that life would be easy,

           but "I am with you."

Your Presence changes everything.

Help us to abide

       in Your with-ness.
