But when I thought

how to understand this,

it seemed to me

         a wearisome task,

until

    I went into the sanctuary of God...

                    Psalm 73. 16-17

(No, what unfolds into a

            wearisome task,

      hard not just to understand

      but how to get out of,

is when I don't bring it

             before the LORD.

First response,

            not last resort.

When we pray first,

God changes not just the outcome,

     but our hearts.

When we see Him differently,

   we see the situation

               with fresh eyes.

And respond to Him,

   not just the circumstances.)

O LORD,

We stumble,

we struggle,

we do not think first of You,

and then we struggle

           with a mess

           and distress.

Help us to come to You

   and lay it before You,

knowing even in the

             little stuff,

You redeem

       and draw us closer,

and help us to realize

that in Your eyes,

   there is no little stuff.
