We give thanks to You, O God;

    for Your name is near.

We recount

        Your wondrous deeds.

     God's hand upon us,

not just for what He does,

or how He loves us,

but for Who He is.

Gratefulness

     in words and deeds

changes our hearts,

our vision,

how we see God,

how we see others,

how we see ourselves.

Not just being thankful,

     but giving thanks,

acknowledges God

and points to His glory.

Even in the hard stuff.)

O LORD,

Thank You

      for Who You are.

      for loving us.

     for dwelling in us.

May gratefulness to You

    mark our character

and change
