...and I have filled him

with the Spirit of God,

with ability and intelligence,

with knowledge

   and all craftsmanship,

to devise artistic designs,

to work in gold,

        silver and bronze,

in cutting stones for setting,

and in carving wood,

to work in every craft.

           Exodus 31. 3-5

(It is not in me,

     or any one of us,

but God who fills us

with imagination,

creativity,

and ability to bring His glory

  to whatever task is before us.

       --in all our work,

  not just what we consider art.

That is what happens to

   a heart willing to serve God

           in every capacity,

    nothing too big and

    absolutely nothing insignificant.

We may think that we see

            the final result,

we may consider it

            infinitesimally small,

but God uses all our work

                 exponentially,

       far beyond our radar.)

O LORD,

We are Yours.

We are made in Your image.

We are all creative

  in so many capacities,

  because You made us that way.

Help us to approach our problems

       with a new and different heart,

not just to solve

but to bring out Your glory

and write Your name

                all over it.

May Your hand guide ours,

may our heart reflect Yours.

Please let Your Spirit

        cover,

        saturate,

        infect in new ways.
