Thus says the LORD of hosts,

     the God of Israel:

Because you have obeyed

the command of

      Jonadab your father

and kept all his precepts

and done all that

     he commanded you,

therefore thus says

the LORD of hosts,

    the God of Israel:

Jonadab the son of Rechab

shall never lack a man

     to stand before Me.

        Jeremiah 35. 18-19

(Listening to what

the LORD is saying,

responding,

obeying His Word,

walking with Him

  through the circumstances,

does not just change

  the course of our lives,

but also the lives of all

     around us,

and even encompasses

   the generations to come.

Faithfulness to God

   cannot be hidden for long

and always

   extends beyond

          our lifetimes.)

O LORD,

We have no idea

of Your great hand

and Your amazing work

through us

and through even

  what we view as difficult

            or mundane.

Help us to approach

    our work

    and the needs of others

with all diligence and grace,

knowing that Your Presence

     changes the insignificant

           into the eternal.

Help us to keep Your glory

         in big letters before us.

We would be astounded

at what You use mightily.

Even a good attitude.
