...for they cried out to God
       in the battle,
and He granted
          their urgent plea
because they
    trusted in Him.

           1 Chronicles 5. 20

(Everyone struggles
               with something.
But do I stand before the LORD
           in it?
Is that my pattern,
my posture,
my default,
    in the favorable
    and in the hard stuff?
First response
        or last resort?
When we trust in God,
there is
     always a different journey,
     always a different outcome,
     always a different victory,
sometimes unexpected,
sometimes in mystery,
sometimes what we
               cannot yet see.
But He is with us
         all the way.)

O LORD,
You know what You are doing.
    Imagine that.
It is not random.
It is not beyond Your sovereignty.
It is not unknown to You.
Only that which is
      divinely anointed
    and divinely appointed.
Even in the ordinary,
even in the trenches,
even in what would astonish,
     if we only could see
     what surrounds us
-- Your eternal purposes,
    Your profound designs,
    Your glory in this.
Help us
         to trust You
as You unfold this day.
You are in this.
Even this.
