      what to do

in this day before us,

in this dilemma

             in our hands.

God recalibrates our hearts

      through praying to Him

  and praying for others.

God enlarges our vision,

not that we can see

                the outcome

(because God always

      works in manifold outcomes),

but that we can realize

          the next tiny step to take.

How often

    it does not even occur to us

                to pray.)

O LORD,

Remind us to pray

and to know

   spending time with You

is a place of strength

  from which to go forth.

Abiding in You

  changes how we respond,

what we do,

how we do it,

how we see Your ways,

how we comprehend

        Your Presence,

even in this.
