For He is good,

for His steadfast love

        endures forever.

      2 Chronicles 5. 13

the rallying cry of

the Old Testament.

This truth is what counts

           most of all,

transcending all circumstances

and difficulties,

woven into the favorable

      and the hard stuff.

How differently we would see

and experience

and respond

if we recited and repeated

and engraved this reality

on our hearts

and in our daily lives.

Recognizing

   not just His Presence

but His steadfast love

  in whatever we face.)

O LORD,

May we abide in Your love

in whatever we face today,

in what is before us,

in what we do not yet see,

in what we may never realize.

Help us to walk with You,

sensitive to Your leading

   and assured of Your love.

May Your great love

impact the world

   right where we are.
