I had much to write to you,
but I would rather
not write with pen and ink.
I hope to see you soon,
and we will talk
               face to face.

             3 John 1. 13-14

(And if John did not
   have to resort to writing
   due to separation, exile
          and afflictions,
we would not have
   his letters and books.
Little did he know
how God would use
     this inconvenience
            of being apart.
Little do we know
  how God is impacting others
through what we only see
as the hardship and
        isolation of pandemic.
God is with us.
Our circumstances
              are never random,
   never beyond what God
                      can use.
Our vision is always
              way too short.)

O LORD,
Keep us faithful
in sowing Your Word,
Your grace and love
                and mercy,
despite difficulty
               and dismay.
It is not that You will use this,
    but You are already working
in more dimensions
   that we can ever know.
Bear through us
         all kinds of fruit,
that which will come after us,
that which sustain others,
that which we can see
         to encourage us.
Bear Your imprint
                through us
by helping us to approach
   this day differently
because we know You.
Nothing but nothing
goes to waste
           for Your glory.
