We who are strong

have an obligation 

  to bear with

  the failings of the weak,

and not to please ourselves.

Let each of us

please his neighbor 

   for his good,

   to build him up.

                Romans 15. 1-2

(God’s strengthening,

equipping,

blessing,

is never singularly focused,

never just about us,

but designed to spill over

   for the welfare of others

to encourage 

            and build them up,

more than we can ever realize.)

O LORD,

Open our eyes

         to You

and open our hearts

to those around us

and even those

     just on our path today.

Strengthen us 

      for Your glory.
