into the same image

from one degree of glory

            to another.

For this comes from the Lord

       who is the Spirit.

            2 Corinthians 3. 18

(The image of Christ

        is changing us

bit by bit,

day by day,

moment by moment,

decision by decision,

experience by experience.

Who do I look like

      in this situation?

Does anyone see Christ in me?

Do I?

Christ transforms us

          not all at once

   or in ways we expect,

lest we think

           it is our doing.

Not just change,

but literally

   change into another form,

another heart,

     and that would be

     Christ in us.)

O LORD,

Help us not be afraid of change,

but seek to know You more,

and imprinted with

          the image of Christ

in all we do and say

                   and are.

Please transform our hearts.

Radiate from within us

   that others would know

the radical difference

      You make in us.

It is not in us,

                  but You.
