had been accomplished

with the help of our God.

         Nehemiah 6. 16

(Not just that others

     would realize it,

but that we would

recognize God's hand

           and strength.

There is no way

we can do it on our own.

Are we explaining Him away?

Are we claiming His glory

             for ourselves?

Or pointing others

                  to Jesus?)

O LORD,

May we work and accomplish

what You have placed before us

for Your honor.

May what we do

      point others to You

by how we do it,

  why we do it,

and out of great love

               for You.

May we work in such a way

that others see You.

Through Your strength,

help us to strengthen

    those around us.

May we realize that

     Your help

always changes the outcome.
