Then Elisha said,

        "Shoot,"

and he shot.

And Elisha said,

"The LORD's

      arrow of victory..."

        2 Kings 13. 17

(Inquire of the LORD,

listen, respond,

obey and claim

the LORD's victory in this,

no matter how it appears.

We may not yet see

          God's outcome.

It may not be

      fully ripe or done,

and the story not yet over.

God most likely has

  a lot deeper purposes

  beyond our understanding.

Am I seeking

       my idea of victory

       or God's?)

 

O LORD,

We cannot know

        the outcomes,

but we can

  faithfully follow You

as You lead us.

Strengthen us to obey

even when

it seems overwhelming.

Because that is when

Your hand is

     seen more clearly.

May we bear Your name

      into this situation

and seek Your victory

      and honor and glory.
