For You equipped me

with strength

for the battle....

       2 Samuel 22. 40

(On the most ordinary days,

in tiny steps of obedience,

in choosing to be faithful,

in words and deeds

    we don't often realize,

in experiences

    odd or common,

    hard or easy,

in trusting Him

            a little bit more,

day by day,

God weaves His strength

into our hearts

    visibly and invisibly.

Whatever we face,

we are already equipped

        by His strength,

with a different vision

      and a different heart.

In unexpected ways

   and unlikely places,

God works the victory

   among the faithful

on more levels and

in more dimensions

than we will ever know.)

O LORD,

It is not in spite of

      our inadequacies,

but because of them,

we experience Your power

and strength

and Presence.

Help us to realize that

   we all fall short

and that is when

   Your glory appears.

You have chosen

          the unlikely

all the way through

    the Scriptures

to show us our need

           for You.

Grant to us Your strength

        for what is now

        and next

for Your glory in this,

in Your name,

for the sake of others

     in Your Kingdom.
