But his servant said,

"How can I set this

before a hundred men?"

So he repeated,

"Give them to the men,

that they may eat,

for thus says the LORD,

"They shall eat

and have some left."

(Just another instance of

God's fundamental law

          of leftovers:

     "Trust Me in this."

The actual provision

      is not the focus,

nor an achievement,

but to point us

       to the Almighty.

Where God guides,

        He provides,

even in unlikely ways,

especially in

    impossible situations,

that we will

know that He is God,

and we are not.)

O LORD,

Help us to grasp

         Your vision

   in Your provision.

You, O Almighty One,

do not just have

  this situation covered

  with just enough,

but supersede the need

   with divine dimensions,

that we would see You

and trust You even more.

You have placed us here

to be fully faithful

and point others to You.

Do those around us see

  Your indwelling in us

and the difference

  by how we love

and that in You

  we stake our lives?
