You shall march

    around the city,

all the men of war

going around the city

                 once.

Thus you shall do

    for six days...

         Joshua 6. 3

(Because "God says so,"

there is always deep purpose

                    in it,

even when it doesn't

    make sense to us

or we cannot see

         the outcome.

That's what faithfulness does.

We can trust Him,

   even into what

   we cannot yet know.)

O LORD,

You have set before us

an enormous city

or an ordinary task.

May we be faithful to You,

knowing there is

    no small obedience.

All things done

   are significant

       in Your Kingdom.

Help us to not miss out

  on Your designs

  in this day.
