Be strong and courageous.

Do not fear or be

    in dread of them,

for it is the

    LORD your God

    who goes with you.

He will not leave you

         or forsake you.

...It is the LORD

   who goes before you.

He will be with you.

He will not leave you

         or forsake you.

Do not fear or

         be dismayed.

  Deuteronomy 31. 6,8

(The LORD goes

            with us

     and before us.

How many times

does God have to say,

    "Do not fear?"

His Presence is our

strength and protection.

Fear, worry, despair

and dread just take us

down the wrong path,

  right into the brambles,

  and over a cliff.

How can I approach

this ordinary day

  or overwhelming situation

differently because

   He goes with me?

By acting faithfully

   and following Him

   into it.)

O LORD,

Help us to remember

Your power and faithfulness

as we walk into this day.

We do not walk alone,

  for You are with us

and You have gone

           before us

to prepare Your

   divine appointments.

Help us to be faithful to You

in our words and actions

and how we respond

  to what is before us

  and around us.

Align our affections

            with Yours.

Help us to know that

others are watching

     our hearts in this.
