It is like a
grain of mustard seed
that a man took
and sowed in his garden,
and it grew
and became a tree
and the birds of the air
made nests
in its branches.
Luke 13. 19
(Plant big trees
on the most ordinary days,
which are never
so ordinary at all.
And know that the growing
and ripening
always takes time.)
O LORD,
Grant us the courage
and vision
to plant big trees
for all those
around us
and for generations
to come.
The seed is Your Word,
lived out in us.
