Not one word

of all the good promises

that the LORD had made

to the house of Israel

                 had failed;

all came to pass.

            Joshua 21. 45

(And God is still faithful

     in all His ways,

still to this day,

even in this day,

no matter what.

"Abide in Me."

Circumstances never limit

     His goodness

     nor His redeeming.

Some things

    we cannot yet see.

Some have not yet

               ripened.

But God is still at work

  in extraordinary ways,

  even on ordinary days,

which are never

     so ordinary after all.)

O LORD,

We come to You

as You set before us

     Your day for us.

May we not just

be mindful of Your wonders,

but faithful to You in all we do.

Help us to bear Your image

         into this day

and bring Your name

   wherever we are today.

You are good,

You do good,

and You love us

  more than we can know.
