Remember not the former things,

nor consider the things of old.

Behold,

      I am doing a new thing;

now it springs forth,

do you not perceive it?

I will make a way

        in the wilderness

and rivers in the desert.

          Isaiah 43. 18-19

(God is creating

        something new

        every day,

and we miss it,

the ultimately significant

  in what we gloss over

  as an ordinary moment.

God is at work,

     right now, right here,

doing something

far deeper,

beyond our limited vision,

eternal and supernatural.

Because that is

       how God works.

God is not limited

     by circumstances,

nor by our unbelief.)

O LORD,

Open our eyes,

break open our hearts,

that we would realize

    Your power in this situation.

Help us to be faithful

                   to You.

Even when we do not see

  what is springing forth,

we know that You are working

   Your deep designs

   into the fabric of

what only appears as ordinary.
