And I will lead the blind

in a way

  that they do not know,

in paths that they

have not known

     I will guide them.

I will turn the darkness

  before them into light,

the rough places

    into level ground.

These are the things I do,

and I do not forsake them.

              Isaiah 42. 16

(Even when we have no idea

or understanding

in what is swirling around us,

in what only appears

                as darkness,

God is revealing Himself,

guiding us

    not just in His way for us,

but into

  a closer intimacy with Him,

in knowing Him more.)

O LORD,

Guide our steps,

  one by one,

following You into this,

walking with You

   even when we

   can't see the way

         or the outcome.

Align our hearts

       with Yours.

You have prepared

  our way before us

for Your glory

in unlikely places,

in the unexpected,

and even in

the most ordinary days.

Nothing is ordinary

    in Your eyes.

Nothing insignificant.

May we live

      in such a way

that You are known

and seen

      even to us.
