Calamities, Shortcomings, and Something New

Their Redeemer is strong.

The LORD of hosts

     is His name.

          Jeremiah 50. 34

God is not just stronger

   than our circumstances,

our impossible struggles,

    and the mess we are in.

He does not just 

  redeem our situations

  in incredible and unexpected ways.

But God redeems us.

He is God Almighty,

  faithful, loving, full of grace.

He delivers and frees us

from our calamities

        and shortcomings

  and gives us His strength

  to carry on.

And God forms something new 

   in us or our surroundings

for His glory, 

             even in this.

O LORD,

When we are overwhelmed,

You redeem

    far beyond our imaginings.

You are stronger still.

Sing over us Your holy name.

Bring about Your purposes

  even in what 

  we cannot understand.

Redeem us

   and draw us to Yourself.

You rescue, restore,

     and deliver us.

And take us by the hand

  because we are Yours.
