But You said,
I will surely do you good...
Genesis 32. 12
(That is what trusting God
is all about:
knowing, believing,
staking our lives
not on a particular outcome,
but on God and His goodness,
even when circumstances
might initially appear otherwise.
Trusting God reveals
another way through,
sometimes in the most
unexpected ways.
Stay by Me,
He whispers to us,
through many a danger,
toil and snare,
avoiding distractions,
and skirting potholes
that could sink a ship.
God redeems the hard stuff.
He is forming
something different in us.
He is revealing deeper
dimensions of Himself,
that which we
desperately need to know.)
O LORD,
You surely do us good,
even when we don't understand.
But we can trust You
inside and out,
knowing that You only work
for our greater good
and for Your overriding glory.
Strengthen us even more
not just to hang on,
but to hold tight to You.
Cover us with Your goodness,
and saturate us
with Your grace.
