They shall camp facing

the tent of meeting

        on every side.

(A visible reminder

that the LORD

    is in their midst

and Whom

          they worship.

They positioned

themselves so that

worshiping the LORD

was the first thing

     they saw in the morning

and the last thing

     before they went to bed.

What is the first thing I do

       when I wake

and the last before I sleep?

It is not just what we do,

   but what it is doing to us.)

O LORD,

Knowing You are in our midst,

knowing You walk with us,

being sensitive

          to Your Presence

          and Your power

profoundly change

how we see this day.

Help us to recognize

that You are the Almighty.

May our practices

and patterns and habits

draw our attention to You,

changing the course

          of our every days,

our walk with You,

and the trajectory of our lives.
