Because Trusting Does That

 

For I will surely save you,

and you shall not fall

          by the sword,

but you shall have your life

    as a prize of war,

because you have

  put your trust in Me,

 declares the LORD.

           Jeremiah 39. 18

(When we put our trust in God,

not in our own abilities

        or achievements,

nor favorable circumstances,

nor luck

  or another object of worship,

         everything changes.

Trusting God,

listening to Him,

   responding to Him,

does not just lead to

     a new door opening

     nor another path revealed,

but to Him.

We see everything differently.

Trusting Him does that.)

O LORD,

Please transform our wondering

  of why is this happening?

into a reflection of

  what are You forming in me

  through this?

Help us to trust You more,

even in what 

         we don't understand,

because You are

  right here with us.
