And on that day
there shall be inscribed
on the bells of the horses,
"Holy to the LORD."
And the pots in the
house of the LORD
shall be as bowls
before the altar.
Zechariah 14. 20
(Before the LORD,
all things --
our actions, words, attitudes,
even our stuff--
are scared.
Not to worship but the means
to worship Him.
Nothing is ordinary
nor insignificant in His sight.
May we inscribe on this day
"Holy is the LORD."
And see the time we are given,
these places we inhabit
or move within,
our experiences
as holy to Him.
Even this ordinary
or really difficult day
is an opportunity to worship Him,
by what we do with what
we have been given,
among whom we move about,
and with what
we grasp in our hands,
as the saints of old
are depicted.)
O LORD,
This is yet another day
that You have made.
May You be glorified in it.
Write Your name
all over every minute.
Please help us today
to be a witness to You
by what we do
and how we respond
and to Whom we worship.
Help us to be known
as Yours.
Same circumstances,
fresh new choices.
Please order our affections.
Anoint this day
with Your Presence.
And appoint our steps.
