By faith

Rahab the harlot did not perish

with those who were disobedient,

because she had given

       friendly welcome to the spies.

God calls us to Him,

to love those on our path,

to love strangers,

even to love those against us.

I need not know the outcome

nor the magnitude

           of even a friendly welcome,

   but just that God uses it.

A kindness is never small,

        but ever profound.
