Even The Snacks Along The Way

 

....for though it is a forest,

you shall clear it and

possess it to

     its farthest borders.

For you shall drive out

        the Canaanites,

though they have

   chariots of iron

and though they are strong.

                Joshua 17. 18

(What has God placed

before us to do, to occupy,

to sow and be fruitful?

There will always be something

   beyond our abilities

and something always to fear,

but God goes with us

                   into it.

The reality is

    "I could never do that."

A bigger reality is

           God intervenes.

God brings His courage,

His strength,

and even the snacks we need

            along the way.)

O LORD,

Overcome, we pray,

   what overwhelms us.

Grant to us Your vision

   in this hard thing.

Help us to trust You

      through to the other side.

Strengthen us to follow You

   and to hold tight.

Energize us

   to get the work done.
