The LORD is good,

a stronghold in the day of trouble;

He knows those

    who take refuge in Him.

                    Nahum 1. 7

(Living in the reality

    of who God is,

choosing to dwell in Him

        and not in despair.

A refuge is a

     place of strengthening.

Where do I

        seek my courage

        and endurance?

God will not bring me through;

   God is bringing me through.

Even now.

Even in this,

  to a deeper intimacy with Him.

O LORD,

When we seek You,

You bring us to a different place.

You have a strong hold

            on each one of us.

In favorable circumstances

       or extreme difficulty,

we can come to You.

You provide,

You protect,

You surround us

         with songs of deliverance.

You are not about to

    abandon us now.

Help us to not be distracted

    from abiding in You.

It is not our strength

                 but Yours.
