...but whoever keeps His Word

in him truly

   the love of God is perfected.

By this we may know

   that we are in Him,

whoever says He abides in Him

ought to walk in the same way

   in which He walked.

            1 John 2. 5-6

(By this we may know

    that we are in Him,

by this others know

    that we are in Him,

we keep His Word,

we love,

we trust Him.

Our lives should

       look very different

because we walk with Him.)

O LORD,

It is not our strength,

but Your strength in us,

worked in

   and engraved by Your Word.

May our first response

    be to call on You

    and walk with You

wherever,

whenever,

among whomever

     You place us.

You change our hearts,

You change

    the trajectory of our lives.

You deliver and redeem

    in extraordinary ways

even in the most

          ordinary of days.

Others are watching us

               continually

to see how we walk,

how we love

        and respond,

and with Whom we walk.
