With God

we shall do valiantly;

it is He

who will tread down

               our foes.

(In the Psalms,

our foes are anything

that we fear,

   both real and imagined.

When we follow God

     into what is before us,

it changes the trajectory

         of our lives.

Faithfulness to God

opens our hearts

      to what the Almighty

      can do.

Even in this.

Even with this.)

O LORD,

We are powerless

against this great horde

that is coming against us.

We do not know

           what to do,

but our eyes

    are on You.
