But when Jesus heard it

He said,

"This illness does not

  lead to death.

It is for the glory of God,

so that

the Son of God

  may be glorified

                through it."

             John 11. 4

(What is this difficulty,

this pain,

            this hardship?

That which God

     is already redeeming

for His glory.)

O Almighty One,

Please help us

to not get caught up in

       "Why, God?"

But to seek You,

to trust You,

       "What, God?"

Be glorified, O LORD,

              through this.

No matter what.

Would we face this differently

if we knew

       You were in this?

You are.
