Your rod and Your staff,

(Even through your deepest darkness,
 even through your scary places,
 even though,
God will make a way
         and He is right there with you.)
     

But Moses said to God,
"Who am I that I should go to Pharoah
     and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?"
He said,
            "But I will be with you."

                             Exodus 3. 11-12

(you are not in this alone)

You gave a wide place for my steps under me,

         and my feet did not slip.

                                  Psalm 18.36

(Dancing where it should be impossible.

God is my security,

                 not circumstances.)

Now I know 

that the LORD will help His anointed;

He will answer him from His holy heaven

    with mighty victories by His right hand.

Some boast of chariots ,

                and some of horses,

but we boast of the name of the LORD our God.

They will collapse and fall,

but we shall rise

                   and stand upright.

                              Psalm 20. 6-8

(God specializes in impossible situations)

Take heed to the path of your feet,
then all your ways will be sure.
Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil.

                           Proverbs 4.26-27

(Follow God fully into it.)

I have taught you the way of wisdom,
I have led you in paths of uprightness.
When you walk,
        your step will not be hampered;
if you run,
         you will not stumble.

                            Proverbs 4. 11-12

(Seek God first and His wisdom,
abide deeply,
walk freely
and see clearly.)

The LORD lives...

                       Psalm 18.46

(And that makes all the difference)

But even the hairs of your head
                       are all numbered.

                                Matthew 10.30

(God loves you
      more than you can comprehend)

And Pharoah said to Joseph,
"Behold, I have set you over
all the land of Egypt."

                       Genesis 41.41

(Faithful to God in the ordinary
is just training for the extraordinary.
Prison or palace, no difference,
      Joseph sought God alone.)

...and his master saw

        that the LORD was with him,

and that the LORD caused all that he did

to prosper in his hands.

                             Genesis 39.3

(Worship God with excellence 

 in all that you do

     and wherever you are,

            in the pit or in the palace)

We do not know what to do,
       but our eyes are upon You.

                        2 Chronicles 20.12

(God has access to solutions
     that are not even on our radar.)

Do not be afraid of sudden panic,
or of the storm of the wicked,
                       when it comes;
for the LORD will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being caught.

                                     Proverbs 3. 25-26

(The LORD is my strength,
my rock, my refuge,
                my confidence,
        in all that I face today)

Come to Me,
all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you,
and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls,
For My yoke is easy,
and My burden is light.

                      Matthew 11. 28-30

(God never intended for us
      to do this life alone.)


   

And whoever gives one of these little ones
even a cup of cold water
because he is a disciple,
truly, I say to you,
he shall not lose his reward.

(the profound ministry of small things)

Surely the LORD is in this place,
         and I did not know it.

(God fulfills His purposes
            wherever you are,
            wherever He leads)

And Isaac sowed in that land,

                      a hundredfold.

(Obey God,
            and do all you can.
Trust God to do what you can't .)

They said,
     "We see plainly
        that the LORD is with you..."

                             Genesis 26.28

(When we follow God fully,
                 He transforms us.)
     

And the LORD appeared to him, and said,

"Do not go down to Egypt;

dwell in the land

of which I shall tell you."

                       Genesis 26.2

(Inquire first of the LORD

       and follow Him into it.

Seek Him in all things,

               both great and small.)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

and do not rely on your own insight.

In all your ways,

         acknowledge Him,

and He will make straight your paths.

                           Proverbs 3. 5-6

(Trust and acknowledge God

         with all your heart 

         and in all your ways.

God directly impacts the journey

                       and the outcome.)

At the appointed time...

                         Genesis 18.14

(God works on His timetable,
                  not mine.
Trust Him and follow Him
                through it.
His timing is always perfect,
His purposes
         beyond my grasp.)

Ask, and it will be given you;
seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.
For every one who asks receives,
and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks
                    it will be opened.

                           Matthew 7. 7-8

(And he who does not
         has no idea what he is missing)

Give us this day
        our daily bread.

                       Matthew 6.11

(Just what I need today,
in whatever form that takes)

Lift up your eyes,
and look from the place where you are,
northward, and southward,
and eastward, and westward...

                           Genesis 13.14

(From the place where you are,
God is at work.
Even here,
    His purposes are divinely appointed.)

...and there
     Abram called on the name of the LORD.

(In all places,
 in all things,
         every day.
LORD, show me Your way in this.)

But God...

              Genesis 8.1

(That is always when
      the story changes.
Follow Him into it.)

Noah was a righteous man,
      blameless in his generation;
Noah walked with God.

                          Genesis 6.9

(By what he was known,
by what he is still known.
By what am I known?)

Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

                                    Psalm 2.11

(That is a promise of God.

Don't even try to go it alone.)

In the beginning

    God created the heavens 

                       and the earth.

                          Genesis 1.1

(This truth

 directly impacts everything in your life.

How you view God affects

                  how you see yourself,

          how you treat others,

how you live.
God is real.
That changes everything.)
