Or Eaten By A Bear

 

I will make with them

  a covenant of peace

and banish wild beasts

         from the land,

so that

   they may dwell securely

   in the wilderness

and sleep in the woods.

           Ezekiel 34. 25

(When we dwell with

            the Almighty,

when we are at peace

            with Him,

when we walk in His ways,

His peace covers

     our relationships too.

We face the wilderness,

   the hard stuff,

   the unknown and uncomfortable,

         differently,

not a place to fear

            but embrace.

God is with us there.

We can sleep even in tents

and not be afraid

of being eaten by a bear.)

O LORD,

What we miss out on

  by being fearful

and not dwelling with You.

May we not just be comfortable

      in the wilderness

but serve You in it

and be mindful

       of Your Presence here.

Cover us with Your peace

  that we may see

  the wonders of the world.
