From morning till evening

he expounded to them,

testifying to the

           kingdom of God

and trying to convince them

               about Jesus

both from the Law of Moses

  and from the Prophets.

And some were convinced

     by what he said,

but others disbelieved.

                 Acts 28. 23-24

(God does not call us

     to be successful,

but to be faithful,

and to bring the gospel

  and the name of Jesus

in unlikely places.

We never know

  how God will use us.

Or who is listening.

Or who will

       take it to heart

   someday.

Sometimes His Word

   has to ripen.)

O LORD,

Who have You placed

    on our paths today

    and on our hearts

to bless with kindness

and bring the gospel

    in unexpected ways?

Help us

   to be faithful in Your leading

and responsive to

                Your voice.

Be fruitful

          through us,

even in ways

   we will never realize.

Help us to

     never underestimate You

or the power of Your Word.
