In the morning

         sow your seed,

and at evening

    withhold not your hand,

for you do not know

         which will prosper,

this or that,

or whether both alike

                will be good.

         Ecclesiastes 11. 6

(There are no small things,

there are no

        insignificant moments.

A simple word of encouragement

   may produce more fruit

than a whole day of

        checking off boxes.

And at the end

of the most productive day,

   leaving behind

            unexpected graces,

even what others may never

       realize came from us.)

O LORD,

We do not lay our day

                before You,

but You

    lay Your day before us.

Please help us

        to follow You into it,

to be faithful to You

    in all things with excellence,

to respond and not react

        in volatile circumstances,

to manifest

   Your greatest commandments

    to love You and love others,

no matter how that may look.

A red letter day

   has Your name written

                    all over it.
