He had to pass

      through Samaria.

(That route may not have been

the only way,

but Jesus had purpose 

                in going there.

Sometimes God leads us

where we would not choose,

but always there is

          divine purpose in it,

even in what we cannot understand 

or may never see.

Even in this.

Even here.

LORD, help me

to hear Your Voice and no other.)
