We are afflicted 

         in every way,

    but not crushed;

perplexed,

but not driven to despair;

persecuted,

    but not forsaken;

struck down,

    but not destroyed

...so that

the life of Jesus

  may be manifested 

  in our mortal flesh.

        2 Corinthians 4. 8-9,11

(Something supernatural 

        is going on here,

something different

              is revealed,

and that is Jesus in me.

His Presence is revealed

       in unlikely places

and impossible situations.

Bring forth, O LORD,

clear evidence of Your hand,

    even in what I cannot see).
