But I do not account my life

of any value

   not precious to myself,

if only I may accomplish my course

and the ministry

which I received from the Lord Jesus,

to testify to the gospel

of the grace of God.

                     Acts 20. 24

(Bottom line:

          glorify God,

          even in this.

Bring the name of Jesus there.

His grace

      gets all over everything).

And he did what was right

   in the eyes of the LORD...

              2 Kings 15. 3

(What, O LORD,

    is right in Your eyes?

Not just the right thing to do,

    but a right heart in this,

that in which is Your delight,

that which brings You glory,

                               not me).

The LORD's arrow of victory...

(What am I forgetting?

That which makes

all the difference in the world.

Seek His way in this,

     follow His heart through this.

God may not change circumstances,

   but He will bring us through.

When we seek the LORD,

something always changes,

        and that would be my heart).

And the Lord said to Paul

  one night in a vision,

"Do not be afraid,

but speak and do not be silent,

for I am with you,

and no man shall attack you

to harm you,

for I have

many people in this city."

                    Acts 18. 9-10

(Wherever you are,

live out the gospel,

speak boldly,

and other believers

will make themselves known to you).

He who restrains his words

            has knowledge,

and he who has a cool spirit

   is a man of understanding.

                    Proverbs 17. 27

                 in the stocks.

But about midnight,

   Paul and Silas were praying

   and singing hymns to God,

and all the prisoners were

              listening to them...

(People are always watching

how you respond

to goodness or calamity

     to know if the Lord is God.

Even through what appears

       as the tiniest step of obedience,

God radically impacts more lives

       than you will ever know,

       more than you can ever count.

Bring the name of Jesus there.

When the servant of the man of God

rose early in the morning and went out,

behold, an army

   with horses and chariots

   was round about the city.

And the servant said,

"Alas, my master!

       What shall we do?"

He said, "Fear not,

for those who are with us

are more than those

who are with them."

Then Elisha prayed, and said,

"O LORD, I pray to You,

   open his eyes that he may see."

So the LORD opened

        the eyes of the young man,

and he saw;  and behold,

the mountain was full

of horses and chariots of fire

          round about Elisha.

                  2 Kings 6. 15-17

(O LORD, enlarge my heart

       and my vision

  about what is before me.

Help me to know Your way in this,

      Your way through this,

      Your heart about this.

I am surrounded by Your Presence,

    even when I am unaware).
