But I do not account my life
   of any value
   nor as precious to myself,
if only I may accomplish my course
    and the ministry which I received
                   from the Lord Jesus,
to testify to the gospel
               of the grace of God.

                              Acts 20. 24

(Bottom line:
   my life testifies to the gospel,
         wherever He leads today,
                     in whatever I do.
There is nothing mundane
     in God's sight,
nothing that cannot be used
              powerfully by Him.)
             

And he did what was right

       in the eyes of the LORD...

(Show me, O LORD,

what that looks like today.

Give me the courage and grace

           to live that way.)

And he said,
"The LORD'S arrow of victory..."

                     2 Kings 13. 17

(Do I consider
what God will do in this?
Never forget
       Who brings the victory.)

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

and Your dominion

      endures to all generations.

                             Psalm 145. 13

(God is not subject

to the opinions of man.

God is still God.

And we are called

       to faithfulness and grace.)

Reach down from heaven

           and rescue me,

rescue me from deep waters,

from the power of my enemies.

                         Psalm 144.7

(God meets me 

     in my deepest need.

He releases me from my fears,

    both real and imagined.)

But about midnight

Paul and Silas were praying 

           and singing hymns to God,

and the prisoners 

     were listening to them.

                           Acts 16. 25

(Wherever God places you today,

     bring the light of Jesus there.

You never know who is watching,

who is listening,

who is desperate for Him,

       even in the most unlikely places.)

When my spirit is faint,
           You know my way.
...I cry to You, O LORD,
I say, You are my refuge.

(God meets me
in my deepest need.
I am not alone.)

...yet He did not leave Himself
                     without witness...

strategically appointed
         in time and place,
for His purposes and for His glory.

A cheerful heart is a good medicine,

but a downcast spirit 

         dries up the bones.

                       Proverbs 17. 22

(God changes my heart and vision

         in the most impossible situations.

His joy impacts everyone around me.

Despair only trips me up.

And complaining

     doesn't make anyone feel better.)

And the word of the Lord

    spread throughout all the region.

(God's Word in you

          changes the landscape)

The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O LORD,
                 endures for ever.

                                Psalm 138.8

(When I seek God through this situation,
He does not fill my days,
              He fulfills them
in dimensions I cannot even imagine.
God's designs run deeper still.)

How shall we sing the LORD'S song

           in a foreign land?

                          Psalm 137. 4

(Every which way we can.

God places each of us strategically

in exact time and place

to do specifically that

      through everything we do today,

songs of joy and hope and strength

                     in a barren place.

Someone is always listening

     to what song you are singing

to know that God is real.)

O give thanks to the LORD,

           for He is good,

for His steadfast love

                    endures forever.

                    Psalm 136.1

(Repeated 26 times

                   in 26 verses.

God makes the radical difference

    in our lives everyday.

Use your words

          to acknowledge Him.)

...and with the stones 

he built an altar

     in the name of the LORD.

                     1 Kings 18. 32

(What can I do with this situation,

         what can I do with this?

Worship the LORD

with whatever He has given you,

wherever you are,

whatever you do today,

in His name,

             for His glory.)

The jar of meal was not spent,

neither did the cruse of oil fail.

                     1 Kings 17. 16

(Where God guides,

                    God provides.

The outcome of every obedience

              is His glory.)

...to put His name there.

                    1 Kings 14. 21

(In whatever we do today,

     wherever He leads,

Even in what we may not understand,

we are called

               to be faithful.

Put His name there.)

...for this thing is from Me.

                  1 Kings 12. 24

(Trust God with this mystery,

    trust God in this situation.

God redeems

   what I cannot imagine

that He may be glorified

              by means of it.)

And he said,

     "Here I am, Lord."

                Acts 9. 10

(First response,

ready and sensitive

for today's 

     divine appointments)

And as for you,

       if you will walk before Me...

                    1 Kings 9. 4

(The LORD will use you

    beyond your wildest dreams.

He will change

     the course of your life.

He will impact 

            generations after you.)

...that My name might be there...

                      1 Kings 8. 16

(Why am I here?

His Presence in this place,

    this situation,

    this relationship,

for His glory.)

Blessed is every one

         who fears the LORD,

  who walks in His ways.

                   Psalm 128. 1

(And that is a promise.

The LORD will sustain you.

He will bless you immeasurably.

He will bear fruit through you

                   for generations.

God loves you

     more than you can know.

Even when I don't understand His ways,

            there is reason for it.)

...but God was with him...

                Acts 7.9

(And that makes the significant difference

    wherever and in whatever.

God changes our story

                   for His glory.)

...then they said among the nations,

"The LORD has done great thing for them."

The LORD has done great things for us;

                             we are glad.

                           Psalm 126.2-3

(Bearing His name,

      acknowledging His hand.

Giving God praise

does not just point others to Him.

It recalibrates my heart

             and enlarges my vision.)

And every day
in the temple and at home
they did not cease
teaching and preaching
           Jesus as the Christ.

                   Acts 5. 42

(Every day, every way,
every word, every deed.
How can I act differently
in this place,
in this situation,
in this relationship
         because I know You?
Bring the name of Jesus there.)

As the LORD lives,

who has redeemed my soul

     out of every adversity...

                      1 Kings 1. 29

(His faithfulness goes before you.

Seek out the LORD.

He will bring you through this.

Things will not just work out,

          but God redeems.)

But Peter said,

"I have no silver or gold,

but I give you what I have;

in the name of 

      Jesus Christ of Nazareth,

walk."

                         Acts 3.6

(There are many things 

I am not able to do,

but what I can do

           in the name of Jesus,

God multiplies for eternity

in ways I cannot foresee.)

I call upon the LORD

    who is worthy to be praised,

and I am saved from my enemies.

                  2 Samuel 22.4

(You are not in this alone.

God is your helper.

God is your strength.

God will bring you through this.

Calling upon the LORD,

first response,

       not last resort.)

I am one of those

   who are peaceable

   and faithful in Israel.

                  2 Samuel 20. 19

(Be that voice of peace

and of God's presence in this.

He has placed you strategically.

Bring healing to the table.)

After this Jesus revealed Himself again 

to the disciples

by the sea of Tiberius,

and He revealed Himself in this way.

                      John 21.1

(Watch for how

Jesus reveals Himself to you today.

Extraordinary ways in our every days.

Even in this.)

...the doors being shut where the disciples were,

for fear of the Jews,

Jesus came and stood among them

and said to them,

        "Peace be with you."

                            John 20.19

(Jesus meets us in our place of fear.

He comes with His peace 

in the midst of our impossible situations.

He changes not only our hearts,

         but He changes our story.

He unlocks the thick doors of fear

         to the reality of His presence.

You are not alone.

Let Him in.)
