(God does not intend for us
to live defeated lives.
He is our rock.
He is our dwelling place.)

I will bless the LORD at all times;
His praise shall
    continuously be in my mouth.

                                Psalm 34.1

(learn a new language,
       a vocabulary of praise)

Do not withhold good
    from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power
                      to do it.

                       Proverbs 3.27

(sensitive to the opportunities
         God places before us)

But the word of God
        grew and multiplied.

(It always does
        in incredible ways)

(God specializes in impossible situations)

Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth,

if I do not set Jerusalem

(When God is my highest joy,

everything else is ordered aright.)

For our shield
       belongs to the LORD...

Trust in the LORD, and do good,

   the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
   trust in Him,

(Seeking Him at the beginning of every day,
and He will change your life)

...but the people of Israel
       walked on dry ground
in the midst of the sea.

                 Exodus 15.19

(move freely, pray boldly,
   in the middle of God's will)

You have said,
      "Seek My face."

      "Your face, LORD, do I seek."

(in all things)

...for this thing
        is from Me.

                      1 Kings 12.24

(Follow God fully into it
      and through it.
He will grant both wisdom
 and strength.)

...and in the wilderness
            for forty years.

                             Acts 7.36

(God's faithfulness even there,
a place of equipping,
a place of revealing
      that the LORD is God)

But an angel of the LORD said to Philip,

"Rise and go toward the south 

to the road that goes down

from Jerusalem to Gaza."

This is a desert road.

And he rose and went.

(God's deep purposes,

       even on the desert road,

even when it doesn't make sense

                    yet.)

Now those who were scattered

went about preaching the Word.

(No matter where He appoints me today,

 in word and deed)

As the LORD lives,
who has redeemed my soul
      out of every adversity...

                      1 Kings 1.29

(God does not just drag me through,
           but He redeems,
even that which I cannot yet understand)

And there is salvation in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven
given among men
by which we must be saved.

                         Acts 4.12

(If there was any other way,
Jesus would not have had to die.
It is not by our works,
       but by His grace.)

...and God said,

       "Ask what I shall give you."

                          1 Kings 3.5

(and how would I answer Him?)

Our help is in the name of the LORD,

     who made heaven and earth.

(Nothing is too big 

     for Him to handle.

Take this verse into your day

and repeat as necessary)

of what we have seen and heard.

         into who we are,

...a witness to His resurrection.

   and to whomever on my path)

       and a light to my path.
