And Jesus stopped and called them, saying,
"What do you want Me to do for you?"

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want;
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside the waters of rest;
He restores my life.
He leads me in right paths
for His name's sake.
Even though
I walk through the valley of deep darkness,
I fear no evil;
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil,
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
for ever.
Psalm 23. 1-6
(Read slowly these familiar words.
Take them with you into your day.
And let God's Word heal and encourage you).

The heavens are telling the glory of God,
and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,
and night to night declares knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;
their voice is not heard,
yet their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
Psalm 19. 1-4
(the evidence of creation is just one of
the ways God has revealed Himself,
maker of heaven and earth)

For who is God, but the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
-- the God who girded me with strength,
and made my way safe.
He made my feet like hinds' feet,
and set me secure on the heights.
...You gave a wide place
for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip.
Psalm 18. 31-33,36

His Presence, in the scary places of life,
one step at a time)

I love you, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock,
and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock,
in Whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold.
I call upon the LORD,
Who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.
Psalm 18. 1-3
(On what do you rely?
The only true God is loving, mighty and
intimately personal. He loves you).

Do not be afraid of sudden panic,
or of the storm of the wicked,
when it comes,
for the LORD will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being caught.
Proverbs 3.25-26
(for when your heart is invaded
by warriors - we all know that
feeling of being overwhelmed.
Repeat this promise, early and often).

Come to Me,
all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you,
and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy,
and My burden is light.
Matthew 11. 28-30
(We were never intended to carry life alone.
We are like so many two year olds saying,
"Me do it."
Read this slowly and let it soak in).

But the centurion answered Him,
"Lord, I am not worthy to have You
come under my roof,
but only say the word,
and my servant will be healed..."
...And to the centurion,
Jesus said,
"Go,
be it done for you
as you have believed."

do we even realize what God can do?)

Therefore I tell you,
do not be anxious about your life,
what you shall eat
or what you shall drink,
not about your body,
what you shall put on.
Is not life more than food,
and the body more than clothing?
...But seek first His kingdom
and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be
yours as well.
Matthew 6. 25,33
