(It is when we are most overwhelmed and
overpowered that we can most clearly see
and experience His strength, power and deliverance,
if we call on Him and follow Him into it).

When the righteous cry for help,
the LORD hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The LORD is near
to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the LORD delivers
him out of them all.

Psalm 34. 17-19

(God does not promise ease, but healing,
strength and deliverance.
The LORD hears, the LORD is near, the LORD delivers.
Take those promises with you today).

The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the LORD
lack no good thing.

Psalm 34.10

(Throughout His Word, God calls us
to seek Him first,
not as a last resort.
Look for how He provides and protects).

A king is not saved by his great army,

a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.

The war horse is a vain hope for victory,

and by its great might it cannot save.

Behold the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,

on those who hope in His steadfast love,

that He may deliver their soul from death,

and keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the LORD,

He is our help and shield.

Casting means to throw them
out of your reach so that you can
do what is needful,
unencumbered by worry.
He cares for you.)

Teach me Your way, O LORD,
and lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.
...Wait for the LORD,
be strong, and let your heart take courage,
yea, wait for the LORD!

Psalm 27. 11,14

(follow Him into His day for you)

Though the fig tree do not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail,
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the LORD, is my strength;
He makes my feet like hinds' feet,
He makes me tread upon my high places.

Habakkuk 3. 17-19

("tread" is commonly defined as "to walk,"
but it can also mean "to dance."
I like the idea of dancing upon the high and
scary places of our lives, because of Who
strengthens us)

And He said to him,
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul,

The LORD is my light and my salvation;

is happening all around you,
His Presence is a strength and shield)

The LORD...made the sea dry land,
and the waters were divided.

into the midst of the sea
on dry ground,
the waters being a wall to them
on their right hand and on their left.

Exodus 14. 21-22

(The LORD will give you passage
in the midst of your "sea,"
your impossible situation.
Follow Him on HIS path,
rather than insisting on your own).
